In every chat with your AI employees you can attach STEP, STP, STL, GLB, DXF and FreeCAD files. They show with a 3D icon, and a video your AI employee sends plays inside the chat on your iPhone.
Why it matters
Parts and drawings travel as STEP, STL and DXF files. You can hand them to your AI employee from your computer or your iPhone, get the 3D files and drawings it makes with its answer, and watch a short video it made without leaving the chat.

- The file picker of a chat offered no CAD files on a Mac or an iPhone, every file had the same plain icon, and a video your AI employee made did not play on an iPhone.

- Chats with your AI employees accept STEP, STP, STL, GLB, DXF and FreeCAD files, show them with a 3D icon and play the videos your AI employee sends.
What you get
- CAD files you can attach: on a computer and on an iPhone, the file picker of a chat with your AI employee offers STEP, STP, STL, GLB, DXF and FreeCAD files.
- An icon for each kind: 3D and drawing files show with a cube icon and videos with a play icon, in your own messages and in the answers of your AI employee.
- Files that come with the answer: a video, a 3D file or a drawing your AI employee makes while it answers comes with that answer, up to 10 MB per file.
- Videos that play on your iPhone: a video your AI employee sends opens in the iPhone's own player inside the chat, and on a computer it opens in a new tab.
- Ready for your CAD program: a tap on a 3D or drawing file downloads it, so you open it in FreeCAD or in the CAD program you already use.
How to use it
Attach a CAD file
Open the chat with your AI employee, tap the paperclip and choose a STEP, STP, STL, GLB, DXF or FreeCAD file. It shows in your message with a cube icon; add a few words about it and send.
Open what comes back
Tap a file with the cube icon in the answer to download it, then open it in your CAD program. Tap a file with the play icon to watch the video.
Good to know
- Each file that comes with an answer can be up to 10 MB.
