Connect your work tools from the chat and see what was saved

For everyone who works with an AI employee

Type one line in a chat with your AI employee to connect a tool such as Asana, Notion or Jira. The key you paste is saved exactly as you typed it, and the reply says what happened.

Why it matters

A tool you connect works the first time, because its key arrives whole. When something is missing, you learn which field and see an example before anything is saved, so no connection only looks finished.

Before
A key with an equals sign in it could be cut short or split into extra fields, and some tools replied Connected while a required field was missing.
Now
Keys typed in the chat are saved whole, a missing field is named with an example, and disconnecting says when there was nothing to remove.

What you get

  • Saved whole: a key that contains equals signs is saved exactly as typed, so tools such as Jira and Asana accept a correct key the first time.
  • Missing fields named: when a tool needs more than one value, such as a key and your company's Pipedrive address, the reply names what is missing, shows an example and saves nothing until it is complete.
  • The right way to connect: for tools you connect by signing in, such as Google, Claude and ChatGPT, the chat suggests the step that starts the sign-in, not a field to paste.
  • Clear about disconnecting: disconnecting a tool that was never connected for this AI employee, or that your company connected for everyone, changes nothing and says why.
  • Whose key it is: the list of connected tools shows for each key whether it belongs to this AI employee or to your whole company.
  • Refreshing what it knows: when you ask your AI employee to refresh what it knows from a tool, it asks you to set something up only when a sign-in is missing or refused, and says so when a tool cannot be refreshed yet.

How to use it

Open the chat with the AI employee that should use the tool. Create the key in the tool's own settings first, then paste it into the chat.

  1. Connect a tool with its key

Type /connect, the tool's name and its key, for example /connect asana YOUR_KEY. Paste the key exactly as the tool shows it.

  2. Add every value it asks for

If the reply names a missing value, type the command again with every value. The reply shows an example, and nothing is saved until the command is complete.

  3. Sign in where a tool asks you to

For tools you connect by signing in, type /connect and the tool's name, such as /connect claude, and follow the sign-in link the reply gives you.

  4. See what is connected

Type /integrations to see the tools this AI employee can use and, for each key, whether it is its own or your company's.

  5. Disconnect a tool

Type /disconnect and the tool's name, such as /disconnect asana. If nothing was connected for this AI employee, the reply says so and nothing changes.

Good to know

  • Connect a tool in the chat of the AI employee that will use it: tools such as Asana, Pipedrive and Slack work with the key connected for that AI employee.
  • A key your company connected for everyone is not removed from one AI employee's chat. The reply says so and leaves it in place.
  • Refreshing what your AI employee knows from a tool works today with Asana and Gmail.

Updates to this feature

  1. Fixed

Your settings show which tools this AI employee can really use

The list of tools in your settings shows Connected only for keys this AI employee can use, says where other keys belong, and names what Google covers.
