Messages written without a connection go out exactly once

For everyone who works with an AI employee

Part of Chat with your AI employees on your phone and tablet

A message you write to a colleague or a group with no connection now goes out exactly once when you are back online, also when VEP was closed in the middle of sending it.

Why it matters

Phones lose signal all the time: in a lift, a train or a basement. You should be able to write anyway and trust VEP to deliver each message once, without checking whether it arrived twice or not at all.

Before
A message sent on a weak connection could arrive twice, and a message VEP was in the middle of sending when it closed could stay unsent for good.
Now
Messages written without a connection wait on the phone and go out once when the connection returns, also after VEP was closed while sending.

What you get

  • Once, not twice: when the connection drops in the middle of sending and VEP tries again, your colleague or group gets the message once, with one notification.
  • Nothing stuck: a message VEP was sending when you closed it, or when your phone stopped it, goes out the next time you open VEP with a connection.
  • Waits for you: when your sign-in has to be renewed, messages written without a connection stay on the phone and go out as soon as you are signed in again.

How to use it

Nothing to switch on: it works in VEP on your iPhone or iPad home screen and in phone, tablet and computer browsers.

Part of: Chat with your AI employees on your phone and tablet

On phones and tablets, VEP puts every chat with your AI employees, colleagues and teams in one list, with a message bar you already know how to use.
