Answers from your own hardware show at zero cloud cost
For business owners and admins
Part of Run an AI employee on your own hardware
An AI employee that runs on your own computer now records its answers at zero cloud cost, so they do not fill up its daily spending limit.
Early access: switched on for selected companies.
Why it matters
Owners and admins see what an AI employee on their own hardware really costs, and its daily spending limit is kept for the answers that run in VEP's cloud.
- Before
- An answer from your own computer could be recorded as a charge and count toward the AI employee's daily spending limit.
- Now
- Answers from your own computer show at zero cost, and only answers that run in VEP's cloud count toward the daily spending limit.
What you get
- Zero cost in usage: answers that come from your own computer are recorded at zero cloud cost.
- The daily limit counts cloud answers: only answers that run in VEP's cloud count toward the AI employee's daily spending limit, so answers from your computer do not use it up.
- Not VEP usage either: answers from a computer your company owns do not count as VEP usage.
- Cloud answers unchanged: answers that run in VEP's cloud are counted exactly as before.
How to use it
It applies by itself to every AI employee that answers from a computer your company owns.
Part of: Run an AI employee on your own hardware
In early access, admins can move an AI employee onto a computer your company owns, so it answers with an AI installed there. Its knowledge stays in VEP.
