Cards for your own hardware say what to do next

For admins

Part of Run an AI employee on your own hardware

A computer that is connected but not started yet now says it is waiting to start. Its card shows the one command that starts it, so you are not sent to repair it.

Why it matters

Admins setting up a computer are not sent to reinstall software that works, and the AI they pick for an AI employee is one that can hold a conversation.

Before
A computer that had just been connected was marked as needing repair and told you to run the installer again, although it only had to be started.
Now
A newly connected computer shows that it is waiting to start and the one command that starts it, and only AIs that can chat are offered for it.

What you get

  • Waiting, not broken: a computer that is connected but not started yet shows the one command that starts the VEP software on it. A computer that really needs repair still says so.
  • The connect step at a glance: the card of a new computer shows its code, the command to run on that computer and buttons to copy both.
  • Only AIs that can chat: the list of AIs installed on your computer leaves out the ones made only for search, so the AI you pick for your AI employee can hold a conversation.

How to use it

Nothing to switch on: you see it on the cards of your own computers in VEP, from connecting a new one to choosing the AI it uses.

Part of: Run an AI employee on your own hardware

In early access, admins can move an AI employee onto a computer your company owns, so it answers with an AI installed there. Its knowledge stays in VEP.
