Your AI employee knows how much of a long PDF it has read
For everyone who works with an AI employee
Part of What you teach your AI employee stays in use
When only part of a very long PDF in your chat or email can be read, your AI employee is now told how many pages it read.
Why it matters
Contracts, manuals and price lists can run to hundreds of pages. When your AI employee knows where its reading stopped, it can tell you which pages it has not seen.
- Before
- When a very long PDF was cut short, your AI employee was not told how many of its pages had been read.
- Now
- Your AI employee is told how many pages of a very long PDF it read, and that the remaining pages were not read.
What you get
- Exact page count: the note your AI employee gets says how many of the PDF's pages were read and how many it has in total, so nothing is assumed.
- Chat and email alike: the same note comes with long PDFs attached in your chat and with long PDFs attached to emails in your Gmail or Google Workspace inbox.
- PDFs it learns from are read again: when an app hands your AI employee PDFs to learn from, such as manuals and price lists, they are read again, so it can learn from them.
- Clear status for files it cannot read: when your AI employee is given files from Google Drive to learn from, one that cannot be read is marked as an error, not as learned.
How to use it
Nothing to switch on: it applies to PDFs you attach in your chat with your AI employee and to PDFs attached to emails it reads.
Part of: What you teach your AI employee stays in use
All your standing instructions now reach your AI employee's written chat answers, and what it learned stays in use until something newer replaces it.
