The VEP software on your own computer now installs new versions by itself. It finishes the work that is running first, and goes back to the previous version if a new one does not start.
Why it matters
New versions of VEP reach your computer without anyone installing them by hand. An update waits for the work in progress, so your AI employee is not cut off mid-task.

- Updates to the VEP software on your computer were not fully automatic, did not wait for running work, and a version that failed to start was not undone by itself.
- Now
- The VEP software on your computer installs new versions by itself once running work is done, and goes back to the previous version if one fails to start.
What you get
- Finds new versions: VEP offers new versions to your computer, and while it is disconnected from VEP the software checks by itself about every 30 minutes and installs one when it has nothing to do.
- Running work first: when an update is on its way, the software takes no new work, finishes what is running, installs the new version and starts again.
- Swapped in only when ready: the new version is installed and checked next to the working one, and replaces it only once it is ready.
- Back to the last good version: if a new version does not start, the software goes back to the previous version by itself.
- No endless retries: a version that failed is tried again only after longer and longer pauses, from a minute up to two hours.
How to use it
Nothing to switch on: once your computer runs this version of the VEP software, later updates install by themselves.
