Why it matters
The end of a chat is where you pick up the conversation and see what moved to other topics. A tab that opens a little short of it hides that note and leaves you scrolling down to check that you really are at the end.
- Before
- In Safari on a computer, the main tab of a chat with topics could open just short of its end, with the note about moved messages hidden below the last message.
- Now
- Every tab of a chat with topics opens at its newest message on a computer, in Safari and Chrome alike, with nothing left hidden below it.
What you get
- At the end every time: switching to a tab ends at its newest message, also when the note about messages moved to other topics appears a moment after the tab opens.
- The note in full view: the note under the newest message, which says how many messages moved and to which topic, shows completely at the bottom of the main tab.
- Your place is kept: if you have already scrolled up to read earlier messages, a note that appears later lands below you and the chat stays exactly where you are.
- Back and forth: moving between the main tab and your topic tabs lands on the newest message of each tab, however often you switch.
How to use it
Nothing to switch on: it works in every chat with topics in VEP on a computer. Early access: switched on for selected companies.
