Chats with your AI employees download only what is new
For everyone who works with an AI employee
Part of Chats keep working without a connection
Opening a chat with an AI employee downloads only what is new, so long chats open fast and use far less mobile data.
Why it matters
Long conversations with your AI employees hold weeks of plans, reports and decisions. Opening one on a phone over a mobile connection should take a moment and a little data, not a fresh download of everything you have already read.
- Before
- Each time you opened a chat with an AI employee on your phone, VEP downloaded its latest 200 messages again, even when nothing had changed since your last visit.
- Now
- A chat with an AI employee downloads only the messages that are new or changed since you last opened it on that phone, and shows the rest from the phone.
What you get
- Only what changed: when you open a chat you have read before, VEP asks for the messages that arrived since and checks the rest against what your phone already keeps.
- Far less data: in our tests, reopening a long chat used about a tenth of the data of downloading it again, and only the first open on a phone downloads the whole chat.
- Finished answers: a reply that was still being written when you left the chat is fetched again, so you see it complete when you come back.
- Removed and moved messages: a message hidden or deleted elsewhere leaves your phone too, and a message moved to another topic shows up under its new topic.
- Topic tabs: opening a topic asks only which messages belong to it and shows the ones your phone already keeps, fetching just the ones it does not have yet.
How to use it
Nothing to switch on: it works in VEP on your iPhone or iPad home screen and in phone and tablet browsers, once you have opened the chat on that device.
Part of: Chats keep working without a connection
Write to a colleague or a group with no signal: the message waits on your phone with a clock and goes out by itself, once and in order.
