Talking with your AI employee in live voice? It notices the end of what you said about a second after your last word, in a quiet room, in a moving car or on a busy street.
Why it matters
A natural conversation needs quick turns. Waiting several seconds after every sentence, or getting no answer at all in a noisy car, breaks the flow and makes you repeat yourself.
- Before
- Live voice usually took one and a half to three seconds to notice you had finished, up to eight seconds in noise, and in a car it could miss the end entirely.
- Now
- Live voice notices the end of your sentence about a second after your last word, also in noise, and never waits more than four seconds.
What you get
- About a second: after your last word, live voice decides you have finished and starts on the answer in about a second, in our tests on recorded conversations.
- Also in noise: in a moving car or on a busy street the end of your sentence is still found, and even in constant loud noise it takes at most four seconds.
- Room to think: when what you have said so far is clearly unfinished, live voice waits up to two seconds of silence, at most two and a half, before it answers.
- Good to know: a long pause in a sentence that already sounds complete can still be taken as its end; keep talking and your AI employee hears the rest as well.
