Chat notifications in Chrome on your computer or Android phone now keep arriving after a visit to the VEP home page, and a tap on a group chat notification opens that chat.
Why it matters
You hear about new messages from colleagues and groups while VEP is in the background, even if you looked at the VEP home page in between, and a tap on a group chat notification takes you straight to the conversation.

What you get
- After a home page visit: chat notifications keep arriving after you open the VEP home page in Chrome on a computer or an Android phone.
- No tap needed: once you have allowed notifications on a device, opening VEP is enough to keep them coming. You do not have to tap anywhere first.
- A tap opens the chat: tapping a group chat notification opens that chat. Other notifications open VEP.
- Always shown: if a notification arrives without text VEP can show, you still get one that says you have a new message, rather than nothing at all.
How to use it
Nothing to switch on: it works wherever you allowed VEP notifications, in a browser on a computer or Android phone and in VEP on your iPhone home screen.
