Agreements you confirm are recorded, with an accurate Bitcoin status

For business owners and managers

Part of See who promised what and by when, one line each

When you confirm an agreement, your confirmation is now recorded with the agreement and shown on it. Its Bitcoin record also shows where it really stands, and a record that missed its block is sent again by itself.

Why it matters

A confirmation only counts when it is on record. Business owners and managers can confirm the promises they stand behind and rely on the agreement page and its proof file to tell them whether the agreement is already in Bitcoin.

Before
Confirming an agreement ended with an error and nothing was recorded, and a Bitcoin record that missed its block could still read as waiting for one.
Now
Agreements you confirm show that you confirmed them, and each agreement page shows its Bitcoin block, or that its record waits for one or is sent again.

What you get

  • Your confirmation counts: confirming an agreement on its page or in the agreements screen records your confirmation in the agreement's history, adds it to the signatures and shows that you confirmed it.
  • Once is enough: confirming the same agreement twice records it once, and if the agreement was cancelled in the meantime, you see the reason it could not be confirmed.
  • The block that counts: the agreement page and the proof file use the earliest Bitcoin record that reached a block, even when an earlier attempt failed or is still waiting.
  • A missed block said plainly: on the agreement page, a record that did not reach a Bitcoin block within five days shows as not in Bitcoin yet and being sent again, never as waiting, and the proof file leaves that attempt out.
  • Sent again by itself: VEP looks at unfinished Bitcoin records about every 30 minutes and sends again any that missed their block or could not be sent, without waiting for a new message. A record on its way is not sent twice.

How to use it

  1. Open the agreement

Open the link your AI employee posts in your chat with it when it finds an agreement or the agreement changes, on a computer or a phone. On a computer, you can also click the agreement in the Contracts tab of Approvals & Contracts.

  2. Confirm it

Check the terms and the words they were recorded from, then select Confirm. The agreement shows ✓ Confirmed by you, or Signed by every party when yours was the last signature missing, and on the agreement page your confirmation is listed under Signatures.

  3. Check its Bitcoin record

On the agreement page, Blockchain record names the Bitcoin block the agreement is recorded in, with View the block to look it up. Until then, and again right after you confirm, it says whether the record is about to be sent, waits for a block or is being sent again.

  4. Keep the proof

Select Download proof on the agreement page, or Download evidence in the Contracts tab, to save a file that lets anyone check the agreement without VEP.

Good to know

  • An agreement you tried to confirm before this update was not confirmed and still shows Confirm: select it once more.
  • When yours is the last signature missing, confirming locks the agreement, so fix a wrong term with Edit before you confirm.

Your AI employee turns promises from the chats, emails and meetings it follows into one line each, saying who owes what to whom and by when.
