Signing in keeps your place, even after a trip to Mail
For everyone who works with an AI employee
Part of Chat with your AI employees on your phone and tablet
Signing in to VEP now keeps your place: Google sign-in takes you on to the file or agreement you opened from a link, and the email code step waits for you while you check Mail.
Why it matters
On a phone, signing in often means leaving VEP for a moment, to choose a Google account or to read a code in Mail. Coming back should take you on from where you were, not back to the start.
- Before
- After Google sign-in VEP always opened its main screen, a reload during the email code step showed the sign-in form again, and an old sign-in link ended on a page with no way on.
- Now
- Google sign-in opens the file or agreement you were going to, the email code box stays for 15 minutes, and an old sign-in link leads to the sign-in page.
What you get
- On to your file or agreement: open a file or an agreement from a link while you are signed out, continue with Google, and VEP opens it right after you sign in.
- Home screen app too: when Google ends with a six-digit code in VEP on your iPhone home screen, the code takes you to the chat or file you were opening, even if VEP had to open again in between.
- The email code waits: if you switch to Mail to read the code and VEP reloads or opens again, the code box is still there for 15 minutes. Type your username and password again with the code, and VEP opens what you were opening.
- Clear sign-in links: a sign-in link or QR code that is not valid any more shows a short page in English with a link to the sign-in page, and a working link says it is signing you in.
- Your code on the home screen: the sign-in QR code page on your phone now explains how to sign in to VEP on your home screen: type the code shown under the QR code on its sign-in page.
How to use it
Continue with Google
Open the file or agreement link you were sent. When VEP asks you to sign in, tap Google and choose your account. After Google, VEP opens what your link points to.
Finish with the code from your email
If VEP sends a 6-digit code to your email, switch to Mail to read it. Back in VEP, type your username, your password and the code, then tap Confirm and sign in. VEP then opens the page you were going to.
Sign in to VEP on your home screen with your code
On a phone where you are signed in, open Settings and tap Sign-in QR Code. In VEP on your home screen, type the code shown there in the Invite code box and tap Sign in with code.
Good to know
- The email code works for 15 minutes. After that, sign in with your password again and VEP emails you a new code.
- Scanning the QR code with the iPhone camera signs you in to Safari. VEP on your home screen needs the code typed on its own sign-in page.
- Never share your sign-in code: anyone who has it can open your account.
