Sign out of VEP on all your devices at once

For everyone who works with an AI employee

Part of Chat with your AI employees on your phone and tablet

You can now sign out of VEP on all your devices at once. One tap on your phone or one click on a computer ends every VEP sign-in of your account, the device in your hand included.

Why it matters

If you signed in on a shared or borrowed computer, or a phone is out of your hands, you do not have to reach that device. One step ends your VEP sign-in everywhere, and you sign in again only where you need to.

Now
Signing out of all devices ends your VEP sign-in on every phone, tablet and computer at once, after you confirm, and opens the sign-in page.

What you get

  • Every device at once: after you confirm, VEP signs you out on every phone, tablet and computer where you were signed in, including the one you are using.
  • Other devices follow: the next time VEP opens or reconnects on another device, it shows the sign-in page and does not sign itself back in, and that device stops showing VEP notifications.
  • A new sign-in code: if you also sign in with a password or with Google, VEP replaces your sign-in code and its QR code, so a sign-in link saved on another device no longer opens your account.
  • Never locked out: if your sign-in code is the only way you sign in, it keeps working, and the sign-in page tells you so right after you sign out.
  • Asks first: VEP asks before it signs anything out, and on a phone it waits a moment before it takes your answer, so a quick double tap cannot sign you out by accident.
  • Safe on a weak connection: if VEP cannot be reached, it says so and signs nothing out. If VEP signed you out but the answer was lost on the way, this device still opens the sign-in page.

How to use it

  1. On your phone

Open Settings and tap Sign out of all devices, just below Logout. It works in the browser and in VEP on your iPhone home screen.

  2. On a computer

Open the Workspace menu at the top right and choose Sign out of all devices, just below Log out.

  3. Confirm

VEP asks whether to sign out of VEP on all your devices, including this one. Choose Sign out to continue, or Cancel to stay signed in. On a phone, Sign out can be tapped after a moment.

  4. Sign in again where you need VEP

The sign-in page opens with a note that you were signed out of VEP on all your devices, and whether your sign-in code was replaced or keeps working. Sign in again on each device you want to keep using. A new sign-in code is in Settings, then Sign-in QR Code, on your phone once you are signed in.

Good to know

  • Your other devices show the sign-in page the next time VEP opens or reconnects there, and they stop showing VEP notifications until you sign in there again.
  • On a shared or borrowed computer, also sign out of your Google account there: while Google stays signed in on that computer, anyone using it can choose Continue with Google and sign straight back in to VEP.
  • If your sign-in code is the only way you sign in, it keeps working after you sign out everywhere, so anyone who has the code or your sign-in link can still sign in. On a shared or borrowed computer where you opened that link, also delete it from the browser history.
  • The native VEP app does not show this option, but signing out of all devices from a browser ends its sign-in too.
